Terms of use
The terms for using Aemeli as a couple, a guest or a vendor — your account, what Aemeli does and does not do, and how booking a vendor works. Last updated 9 October 2026.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Aemeli (aemeli.com) is a wedding planner for couples marrying in Athens. It is a personal, non-commercial project run by Dimitris Kotsakos, a private individual in Greece — not a company; "we" in these terms means him and the people who help him run Aemeli.
These terms cover using the website, the planning app and the vendor side, as a couple, a guest or a business that lists itself. How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.
By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and planning a wedding, yours or one you have been invited to plan.
- You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google, Apple or Facebook. There are no passwords. Keep access to your email and those accounts secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- One email address is one account.
- You can invite your partner. A partner can see and change everything in the wedding. Only the person who created the wedding can remove members or delete it.
- Give us true details, and keep them current.
What Aemeli does, and does not
Aemeli is a tool to plan your wedding and a place to find, contact and book venues and vendors in Athens. It keeps your guest list, budget, to-dos and wedding website, and carries your conversations and offers with vendors.
Aemeli is not a party to your bookings. When you sign a vendor's offer, the agreement is between you and that vendor. The vendor is responsible for providing what it offered, and you for what you agreed to pay. We are not a wedding planner acting for you, a travel agent, or a guarantor of any vendor.
No payments pass through Aemeli. You pay vendors directly, as their offer says. Payments you mark as made in the app are your own record.
Vendors, enquiries and offers
- Finding. We review every venue and vendor before couples can see it. Listings describe the business as it describes itself; we try to keep them accurate but cannot promise every detail is current.
- Asking. When you check availability or send an enquiry, we pass the vendor your names, date, guest count, the brief you share, and your messages.
- Offers. A vendor may send an itemised offer with a payment plan. You can ask for changes, decline it, or sign it.
- Signing. You sign by typing your name and ticking a statement. That is a binding signature. We record when and how you signed, and keep a fingerprint of the exact document, so both sides can prove what was agreed. Once both sides have signed, the vendor is booked; your other open enquiries for the same kind of vendor close.
Cancellations, refunds and disputes about a booking are between you and the vendor, under the terms of its offer. Tell us if a vendor does not behave as its listing says; we may remove it.
If you list a business, you are responsible for what your listing says, for the photos you upload and your right to use them, and for the offers you send. We may ask for changes to a listing, decline it, or remove it.
Your content and your guests' data
What you put into Aemeli stays yours: your plan, guest list, notes, photos and messages. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you share it with, send it to the vendors you contact, and process it as the privacy policy describes, only to run the service.
You are responsible for the guest details you add. Add only what you need to plan, and only where you are allowed to. Publish your wedding website only with what you are happy for anyone with its address to see.
Acceptable use
Do not use Aemeli to:
- send vendors spam, abuse, or requests you have no intention of following up;
- pretend to be someone else, or plan a wedding that is not real;
- upload anything unlawful, or that you have no right to share;
- copy listings or data from the site in bulk, or interfere with how it runs;
- try to reach accounts or data that are not yours.
We may suspend or close an account that does.
Price, AI suggestions and availability
- Price. Aemeli is free. We charge no one for using it and earn nothing from your bookings. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly before it applies, and nothing you already use will start costing money without your agreement.
- AI suggestions. Some suggestions, such as dates a vendor seems to offer or to-dos a vendor asked for, are found by an AI model reading your messages. They are marked as such and can be wrong; the vendor's own words in the thread are what count.
- Guides and tools. The planning guides, budget calculator and timeline are general information, not professional advice. Check legal requirements with the authorities named in the guides.
- Availability. We work to keep Aemeli running, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Liability, ending, changes and law
- Liability. We are responsible for running Aemeli with reasonable care. We are not responsible for what vendors do or fail to do, or for losses from a booking you make with one. Aemeli is offered free and as it is. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives you.
- Ending. You can delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law prevents it. Agreements you signed with vendors continue after your account ends.
- Changes. If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and tell you by email before the change takes effect.
- Law. These terms are governed by Greek law, and disputes go to the courts of Athens. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the law where you live, and can go to its courts.
